I look at some dating couples around me and I just know that God is the matchmaker. There is no doubt about it....He just knows when a person is ready for a mature relationship and he reveals that person in our life at the right time. I guess if we have patience with God to lead us to the right person, then we know that it will be everlasting. You know, I think about these things a lot even though people may not realize it. Maybe one day I will take a survey on how much Christian girls think about these things. Sometimes the issue of dating or not dating is a big distraction to a girl's spiritual life. Some of the issues we face may be dating a person who is not right for us, or not dating at all. A lot of times we don't have faith that God will take care of us, especially in the love department. If you think about it, having a good marital relationship is also very important to God so why wouldn't he make sure we find someone who takes the best care of us and love us like Jesus loves his church? When we draw close to God, he will draw us close to each other and there is no difference in a marital relationship. When we wait for God, he will find a mate that will help us grow stronger in our faith. He will find a person whose strength matches our weaknesses and vice versa. He will find someone who will put our best interest at heart and that will give us a lot of joy. I think struggles to find the truth about love is definitely there and I also think that there is a real need to have women accountability on these topics. People need stop putting moral judgments on those that are more expressive about their needs and start finding ways to help them grow in understanding of God's instructions. I think love is a very beautiful thing and shouldn't be a taboo topic to discuss. If anyone is interested in starting a ladies group specifically for life issues please contact me.
